Trees
The topography at Mattie's Moutain Farm contains ridge tops and moderate to steep sloping hillsides. The land is being managed following the American Tree Farm System's Standards of Sustainability for Forest Certification.
The trees at Mattie's Mountain Farm showcase the beauty of a mixed and diverse amount of hardwood tree species that are native to southeastern Ohio. The woodland displays good overall health and vigor and includes trees such as:
* The owners are committed to working with The American Chestnut Foundation and their Forester, New Growth Forestry, LLC, to help restore the American Chestnut tree at Mattie's Mountain Farm.
